Branch Furniture: Your One-Stop Shop for Mid-Priced Office Furniture
Some people rub their hands at the thought of creating the perfect home office. Others prefer to wipe their hands of the process and buy whatever is most convenient at the time.
My job as a home office blogger is to help both types of buyers. Some brands work the same by offering a range of products that work beautifully together, effectively making them a one-stop shop.
If you love colorful modern furniture but have a mid-priced budget, Branch Furniture is a safe choice.
You may have heard of the company and wondered what it’s all about. In this article, I lay out the products, style, and quality, and how Branch branches out from the competition. I also answer some common frequently asked questions at the end. You’ll have all you need to know about this company.

What is Branch Furniture?
Branch Furniture was formed in 2018 by CEO Greg Hayes. Thanks to his prior experience in home office furniture, he noticed that office furniture falls into two categories: (1) quality furniture that is expensive and takes a long time to get, and (2) furniture that is more quickly accessible but lower quality. So he created a company to hit the sweet spot. The furniture ships directly from the manufacturer, eliminating the middleman and keeping prices lower than other brands.
The company also goes the extra step by working with you to improve your office setup as your business grows. For example, it helps you trade in your old furniture and offers full white-glove delivery.
The company also makes sure the designs work seamlessly together. Instead of leaving customers to piece together their own desks, chairs, and accessories from scattered sources, Branch offers a complete line of mid-priced office furniture. You can even buy them in packages.
The Designs
Branch is known for a clean, modern aesthetic that works beautifully in minimalist, mid-century, or Scandinavian setups. The brand also stands out with colorful designs. This brand doesn’t like being boring, offering interesting styles and a full range of unique colors.
At the same time, the furniture has a strong ergonomic focus and relatively good durability at a mid-range price. The pieces are designed to last, with performance-focused materials and no luxury markup, making them a go-to option for people who want professional-grade quality at home. It’s not top-of-the-line luxury, but it’s a nice marriage of quality, durability, and price. And honestly, your office may not need luxury. Modern desks, by and large, look similar regardless of price.
Let’s dig into his product offerings.
Branch Office Chairs
Branch Furniture is best known for its office chairs. The designs are modern and refreshing thanks to their inviting colors, while delivering on ergonomics too. You get all the hits, including adjustable lumbar support, tilt controls, and customizable armrests designed to support healthy posture throughout the workday. This combination of style and function has made the Branch Office Chair the product most associated with the brand.
All chairs are excellent for their price points. The main difference lies in their features—and how they fit the way you actually work. Each one blends a clean, modern design with comfort and adjustability that go beyond typical “budget” office chairs.
All four Branch chairs are excellent for their price points. The main differences come down to comfort, adjustability, and how much time you actually spend in them. Branch keeps the same sleek, modern style across every model—just with different levels of function for various types of workdays.
The Daily Chair

The Daily Chair ($249) is the minimalist option—and it looks great. It’s clean, modern, and feels more high-end than its price suggests. You get the essentials: a padded seat, mesh back, and height-adjustable arms, plus seat-height and upright-tilt adjustments that cover the basics. It’s ideal for shorter sessions or hybrid work setups where you spend part of your time at the desk. The lumbar support is subtle, and the shorter backrest means it’s best for users around 5’0″ to 5’11”. It isn’t the top choice for long hours or taller frames, but it’s perfect for small spaces and anyone who values design simplicity over heavy ergonomics.
The Ergonomic Chair & Ergonomic Chair Pro

The Ergonomic Chair ($359+) is Branch’s most popular model, and for good reason—it’s the best balance between price, comfort, and adjustability. You get a sliding seat for different leg lengths, a firm foam lumbar pad that adjusts in height, and a multi-position tilt lock with tension control. The mesh back adds breathability, while the foam-padded seat keeps things supportive and stable. The 3D arms move up, down, and side to side (but don’t pivot), and there’s an optional headrest that adds upper-back support, though it sits a bit low for taller users. It supports up to 275 pounds, includes a 7-year warranty, and has a wide backrest that’s comfortable for broader users. The lumbar is a bit firm for some, and the frame curves inward slightly at the top, which can limit movement, but overall, it’s one of the most capable and comfortable office chairs in its price range.
The Ergonomic Chair Pro ($499+) builds on that foundation with more adjustability and material options. You can choose from true, all-leather or vegan leather with a fabric back. It is one of the more affordable leather ergonomic chairs on the market.
The tradeoff is breathability—the solid back materials trap more heat than the mesh version. Functionally, it adds several upgrades. The arms pivot, slide, and tilt in and out, offering more natural movement. The lumbar support is softer and less aggressive, which most users will find more comfortable. The seat depth is adjustable, and the overall frame feels sturdier, though slightly less flexible than the standard version. The neutral color palette gives it a more refined, premium look, while the mesh Pro version keeps the original’s airy feel. Both versions deliver excellent comfort and build quality for the price. The regular Ergonomic Chair is the breathable everyday workhorse, while the Pro is the more refined, customizable upgrade for those who want better materials and even more precise adjustments.
The Verve Chair

The Verve Chair ($599+) is the most expensive of the group (just over $500) and definitely the most stylish. The sculpted frame and bold color options make it one of Branch’s best-looking chairs. Unfortunately, the performance doesn’t fully match the price. While it offers seat height, depth, and tilt adjustments, the tilt mechanism isn’t as smooth or responsive as the Ergonomic models. The arms are its weakest point—they only adjust up and down, and they’re hard, which gets uncomfortable during long sessions. The seat cushion also feels firm, and when extended forward, it loses padding toward the back, leaving the seat base feeling harder than expected. It’s a beautiful, solidly built chair, but it leans more toward form than function. Great if you want something visually striking, but not the best choice for all-day comfort.
The Aire Chair

The Aire Chair is Branch’s all-mesh model designed for “feel-good” comfort without sacrificing clean design. The performance mesh back (“zoned tension” in Branch’s words) keeps things airy, which is a big plus if you live in a warm climate or your home office lacks top-notch AC.
You’ll get standard adjustments: seat height, tilt, probably tilt lock (the site lists it among “Performance Mesh” chairs). What stands out is the breathability and how the mesh hugs your back in a subtly supportive way. It doesn’t scream “big-ergonomic chair,” but it still delivers a nice step up from a basic apartment chair.
If you like the look of a cleaner mesh-back chair than the Ergonomic Chair Pro but need it for shorter, moderate work stretches, this is a good choice. But for longer sits, you’ll want the Ergonomic Chair Pro.
Soft Side

The Softside Chair goes in a slightly different direction: cloth or upholstered material, more plush comfort, and design-first aesthetics. Plus, the arms are removable, offering more than one seating option. Looks nice that way, too.
You still get some essentials: seat height, tilt, tilt lock, integrated lumbar support.
If you spend typical work hours (not extreme all-day), want something that looks softer, more furniture-like than a tech-chair, and prefer a cozy seat to super firm posture support. It is not breathable, so probably not great for hot environments. It will also show wear/soiling faster. For this chair, good care habits will go a long way.
Active Seating Options
Branch also offers a range of seating options that allow for more active sitting (moving your waist and back in ways that improve posture and reduce agitation). They offer two backless, stool-like saddle options, as well as a kneeling chair. All help you use your back muscles while working. They won’t work as long-term chairs for the day, but are great substitutes to mix things up and keep you working with improved focus and energy.
Final Chair Thoughts
Here’s how I’d sum things up:
- Daily Chair — Best for short sessions and smaller spaces.
- Ergonomic Chair — Best balance of price, support, and breathability.
- Ergonomic Chair Pro — Best for customization, premium materials, and softer lumbar.
- Verve Chair — Best for looks, not for long hours.
- Soft Side — Best for style in cooler climates
- Aire Chair — Cleanest mesh design without sacrificing ergonomics
- Active Seating — Complimentary seating options to mix in for improved back strength and focus
Branch Desks & Tables
Branch Furniture’s desks and tables carry the same modern, minimal aesthetic as the chairs, creating a cohesive look when paired together. Options include sit-stand desks, fixed-height desks, and collaborative tables, all built with sturdy steel frames and clean laminate finishes. While not solid wood, the surfaces are designed for durability and easy maintenance, keeping the overall look streamlined and practical.
Choosing desks that pair easily with the chairs solves that design-matching issue right away. Then you can move on to other things. But you also get a few extra benefits:
Branch offers an ultra-narrow 36-inch desk option, which is rare and ideal for tight workspaces. It also offers a four-legged desk called the Daily Desk, which is, in my opinion, one of the most attractive standing desk leg designs out there at any level.
The company covers nearly every setup, from compact workstations to full executive layouts, with thoughtful design throughout.
The Daily Desk

The Daily Desk is the most furniture-like of the lineup, featuring a four-legged design that feels more “home” than “office.” It used to be a standing desk but is now fixed height. Still, you can pair it with Branch’s desk riser for an easy standing setup. It’s an elegant workaround that keeps the clean design while adding flexibility.
The Daily Desk’s appeal is in its simplicity: sturdy build, minimalist shape, and finishes that blend easily into any space. It’s ideal for smaller rooms, studios, or anyone who wants something sleek and solid without the bulk of an electric frame.
The Office Desk

The Office Desk builds on that idea with a beautiful splayed-leg design for a slightly more architectural look. It’s non-motorized like the Daily but feels more substantial, with a wider surface and thicker top. It’s a great middle ground—simple, stylish, and highly functional, with enough visual presence to anchor a full-time workspace.
Team Desks

These are the same basic style as the Office Desk, but in larger versions that sit side by side for collaborative work. And you get a ton of options. Choose from four- and six-desk options and even dual sitting and standing desks that share legs, all of which excel at adding users in compact spaces.
The L-Desk

Branch also offers the L-Desk, which extends the same splayed-leg style into a corner layout. It adds extra storage and an integrated privacy panel, making it a strong pick for anyone who needs more surface area or a more defined workspace zone. It’s well-balanced, attractive, and looks more intentional than most corner desks on the market.
The Duo Standing Desk & Standing Desk

If you prefer a height-adjustable setup, Branch has two solid options. The Duo Standing Desk is the entry-level motorized model—simple, reliable, and surprisingly stable for its category. For more performance, the upgraded Standing Desk offers improved stability, smoother motorized movement, and woodgrain top options that add warmth and texture to the design. It’s the kind of desk you can raise and lower daily without worrying about wobble or noise.
Accessories and Add-Ons
Branch’s accessories deserve a mention too. The brand has created an impressive lineup that turns a basic desk into a complete workstation. You can add a desk drawer, cable organizer, or desk mat with built-in charging cable support and pen storage. You can also add comfort upgrades like a balance board, adjustable footrest, and in-desk power outlet, plus laptop stands, desk panels, desk lamps, and even an earphone holder. It’s essentially a modular system that grows with your setup.
Final Desk Thoughts
Branch makes it easy to design a workspace that feels personal, not just practical. Whether it’s the compact Daily Desk, the sculptural Office Desk, the expansive L-Desk, or a Standing Desk that keeps you moving, every option delivers strong design and stability. Add a few of their well-thought-out accessories, and you can build a setup that looks curated and works beautifully—no matter how big or small your space is.
Other Selections
Branch doesn’t stop at chairs and desks. The company also offers a handful of thoughtful extras that complete the workspace while keeping the same modern, minimal look. Again, it’s your one-stop shop.
The Separate Block Trolley is a flexible storage piece you can roll under or beside a desk, adding movement and function without taking up visual space. For something more secure, the Mini-Locker provides a small yet sturdy space to store personal items, tech gear, or files—great for keeping your setup clean and distraction-free.
If you’re styling your space beyond the essentials, Branch’s wall décor pieces help bring texture and warmth to minimalist layouts. And for anyone blending home and office life, the brand’s three sofa styles are worth a look. Each one fits beautifully into mid-century or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, with clean lines, soft edges, and just enough comfort to make your workspace feel like an extension of your home, rather than a separate space.
Together, these pieces round out what Branch does best: creating spaces that feel polished, functional, and easy to live in—and work in.
How Does Branch Compare to Other Brands?
Branch sits in the mid-priced category, bridging the gap between budget options like IKEA and high-end brands like Herman Miller. It offers more durability and ergonomic support than low-cost options, while keeping the price accessible compared to luxury models, thanks to selling direct to customers without middlemen.
Combined with the styling, colors, and breadth of offerings, it is a safe bet for those with mid-range budgets and a love of modern design.
Does Branch Furniture Hold Up Over Time?
Branch Furniture is built with mid-range materials like laminate surfaces and mesh fabrics, which are, by and large, durable, but the overall construction is also relatively strong for daily use. While it doesn’t use luxury materials like solid wood, the stability and longevity make it a reliable option for home offices.
I’ve seen plenty of “affordable” furniture start wobbling after six months, but Branch holds up far better than the typical budget buy. It’s not heirloom furniture—but you won’t be shopping for a replacement chair before your next tax season either.
How Difficult Is Branch Furniture to Assemble?
Most Branch Furniture arrives flat-packed, but with clear instructions and the necessary tools included. Assembly is designed to be simple, especially compared to many other furniture brands, and even the most complex pieces, such as desks, can be put together in under an hour.
What Is Shipping and Returns Like?
Branch offers direct-to-consumer shipping, with most products delivered quickly and packed for easy assembly. They also provide straightforward return policies, which add peace of mind when ordering larger pieces like desks or chairs online. You will have to break down the chair again when sending it back and pay for shipping (around $40), but it’s still a nice option to have.
Branch Hits the Sweet Spot
Branch Furniture simplifies home office design by offering a full range of modern, mid-priced pieces that pair beautifully together. Instead of shopping around endlessly, you can create a cohesive, ergonomic, and attractive office setup from one reliable source. And the price is right in the middle.
